We learn about gifts in the reading from Corinthians (1 Cor 12:4-11), and we notice that Jesus did not think it was his time when Mary asked him to help at the wedding. (John 2:1-11). But then we read on and learn it really WAS Jesus’ time.  We won’t be turning water into wine, but there is something waiting for us – needing us to utilize our gift/s even if we don’t think we are ready. When called, we are to trust God, and act!
