The three words in today’s gospel that seem to be meaningful for so many people are: “And Jesus wept.”
Jesus – knowing in a few moments he will call Lazarus out of the tomb, knowing the Lazarus will once again be alive – wept.
Some may wonder why, while others may feel his weeping is a sign of his empathy not only for Martha and Mary, but for all people. “And Jesus wept.”
What thoughts or feelings arise for you when reading or hearing these words?
“And Jesus wept.”
